NEED HELP APPLYING FOR RENT AND MORTGAGE PAYMENTS?

If your answer is “YES” to one or more of these questions…
  • Are you having trouble paying your rent or mortgage because of the     COVID-19 pandemic?
  • Have you lost your job or lost income during the Covid-19 health crisis?
  • Are you at risk of becoming homeless?
  • Do you have an outstanding utility bill? Have you received an eviction notice?
YOU may be eligible to receive help with paying your overdue rent, mortgage or utility bill. The Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) offers programs that can assist low-income families.

The Federal Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) may provide up to 18 months of help with overdue and/or future rent (due on or after March 13, 2020), as well as some help with utility costs. Applicants must have had a COVID-related financial hardship.
